University of New Brunswick Life-Link
Who are We?
The University of New Brunswick Life-Link is a club committed to proclaiming, celebrating, and defending the dignity of all human beings from conception to natural death.
What Do We Do?
The University of New Brunswick Life-Link works to educate and inform the students and faculty at UNB on current life issues. These issues include fetal rights, euthanasia, stem cell research and reproductive technologies. The following is a list of events and activities that UNB Life-Link may organize.
▪Guest lectures to speak on current life issues
▪Postering campaigns that help raise awareness and promote discussion
▪Information tables with resources to help educate and inform
▪Public Demonstrations to engage the campus at large
▪Social evenings (i.e. pizza dinners, movie nights) - a relaxed way to meet new people and celebrate life
Why is it Important?
The university is the place where the ideas and values of our society take root. These ideals often fail to recognize the value and dignity of human life. An active pro-life presence is needed to promote ideas and values that embrace the objective truth that all human life is worthy of protection.
It is on our own university campus that we able to actively participate in building a culture of life by encouraging discussion and education on life issues.
Secondly, students who are concerned and wish to do their part in promoting life can often feel alone, helpless and isolated. UNB Life-Link brings student life advocates together so people with similar values and beliefs can meet. Together we can make a difference!
