Dear Friend of Life,
This is your personal invitation to join us in a peaceful but determined campaign to protect life. You may have some
reservations about this. Before making your decision, please take a few moments to read this and reflect or pray on it.
What is Pro-Life?
We think it’s self-evident but there is a lot of misinformation out there so we want to be crystal clear: Pro-life is a movement
that calls for the respectful protection of innocent human life from conception until natural death. We believe that life is a
gift and that the first right of every person is the right to live. Many of us believe in God and see life as a sacred blessing, but
atheist or believer, we value all innocent human life.
How many people are pro-life today?
We are the majority. You might find this surprising because the news media tend to be more sympathetic to pro-abortionists
but a 2006 opinion poll found 66% of Canadians oppose abortion, or oppose it except for medical emergencies. For the most
part, people are on our side. Many have been intimidated by the pressures of political-correctness or by the feeling that there’s
nothing they can do. If that describes your experience, this invitation is your chance to act.
What does NB Right to Life do?
We educate about the unborn through school presentations, educational displays and by supporting provincial and national
awareness campaigns. We advocate for the protection of unborn children and their mothers in small ways, like discussing the
issues with neighbours and friends, and larger ways like the public Life Chain (October) and March for Life (May). We raise
funds to support provincial pro-life activities through Annual Benefit Dinners and those of us who are so inclined pray
unceasingly for the protection of unborn babies and their mothers.
How is NB Right to Life organized?
We have chapters in communities across the province, as well as our provincial headquarters in Fredericton.
Membership is simultaneous for both the provincial organization and your near local chapter.
How does my membership help?
1 - There is strength in numbers. Your membership strengthens our voice on behalf of unborn children who have no voice
of their own. In order for us to be strong our membership numbers need to be many. Numbers speak volumes.
2 - Your membership fees help fund our activities and your thoughts, prayers, and involvement brings us closer to the day
when every life will be protected and every anxious mother aided.
As a member how will my name be used?
Your name will remain confidential with us.
Must I attend meetings?
You will always be welcome but never obliged.
Is this group political?
Our focus is public education, not politics. We make representations to government on behalf of life, but we are not
partisan, involved in elections, etc.
Again we ask you to please give this invitation some serious thought. We would love for you to join us in this cause.
The unborn children need you to speak for them.
What do I do to become a member?
For $20 per year you will be supporting the pro-life cause in your community and have a say in how we do it. Below
