Pro-choice, pro-abortion

In her Jan. 20 letter to the editor entitled "Pro-Choice Not Abortion," Judy Burwell of the Abortion Rights Coalition claims her group is pro-choice rather than pro-abortion.

It's like the argument used by opponents of the abolition of slavery: we're not for slavery, we only support the right of people to choose to own slaves. History found that claim just did not wash.

Let us take a couple more examples. If you want to allow 16-year-olds to buy alcohol and drugs, are you pro-choice or are you pro-drugs and alcohol?

If you want (and some people do) to allow parents to kill their disabled newborn children, are you pro-choice or pro-infanticide?

So: If you want to allow mothers to kill their unborn children on demand, are you pro-choice or pro-abortion?

A little more intellectual honesty please, Ms. Burwell. You are for abortion, and, sadly, against life and maternity.
