The Daily Gleaner Letters to the Editor, July 8, 2009 Clarifying note regarding letter Re: Peter Ryan letter published June 27 My letter (Mother and Child Welcome House upset by comments contained in letter) defended our reputation against allegations made in a previous letter. Regrettably, in the form that my letter was published, two important points were omitted. First, the letter I responded to came from the Morgentaler Clinic, not just Simone Leibovitch. Secondly, replying to the most serious accusation that somehow our pro-life activity incites violence, I stated: "For the manager of a facility where some 8,000 children have lost their lives to preach to those committed to total non-violence about 'taking a life' must leave many people incredulous." I think these two points give your readers a better understanding of my letter. My intent is simply to give readers a fair and relevant reply to the charges made.
