I was disappointed to hear that New Brunswick artists have chosen to support the killing of unborn children with their second annual art auction (as reported in the Daily Gleaner on July 16, 2009).
I would have thought that artists especially would value life.
About $25,000, which is half of the money raised, will go to support Morgentaler's lawsuit where he's attempting to force New Brunswick taxpayers to pay for the slaughter of their own citizens.
According to Judy Burwell, the director of Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada, it's a "win-win situation".
I fail to see any winners in this situation. Certainly not the babies nor their mothers.
How can we, as a society, stand by and let this happen?
